- Different prices would come from from different breeders. They are usually very calm and relaxed, it's just that they have a bad rep from their strong jaws and their loyalty. They are normally okay with other dogs, but that all depends on the dog's personality. A good way to tell is to ask the breeder (ask the pet shop owner for the name of the breeder if it didn't come directly from the breeder) if they have another, older dog. If they do, then the dog will probably be better with other dogs than a dog that spent its life as the "only child". Hope this helps!
- They souldnt be too expensive. my mom got one for her friend and its pratty calm although it poops ALL over the place it also gets extremely fat but they are nice
- if you got a baby bulldog from a foster or shelter you'll only pay about $150 which includes neutering or spaying if it's a shelter. what bulldog do you want? english or french? remember, don't ever buy from a pet store..these dogs are usually from puppymills and are more inclined to be diseased, and the only way to stop abusive puppymills is to stop buying their puppies. http://www.dogster.com/breeds/french_bulldog http://www.dogster.com/breeds/american_bulldog http://www.dogster.com/breeds/bulldog
- $1300.00 or you could go to a Bulldog Rescue and save one. for alot cheaper and you can spend all the money you saved on bed, toys, treats, 45% of dogs in shelters are Full Blooded
- At one time I looked at the english bulldog as a pet and companion. I have several friends who own at least one. They are expensive. Expect to spend anywhere from $1200 to $2500 for a pup from a reputable breeder. They are high maintance. All the ones I have met have great personalities. My decision for not getting a bulldog came down to Texas heat and environment issues. I have friends who own them in Texas and they love their bullies...maybe in the future will look into this breed again. Good Luck!
- There are several types of Bulldogs. I have a French Bulldog. They are the best breed around in my opinion. Perfect with kids, loves to play friendly with other dogs, loyal. What more could you ask for? She is fawn in color and cost $1300. We got a hell of a deal, her brother and sister went for $2500. My frenchie was diagnosed with inguinal hernias, common in most puppies and usually go away on there own. Therefore she was not to be breed, Which we were not looking into doing anyway. Once we received the puppy we had our vet check her out and NO sign of any hernias present. We got very very lucky to have a great dog with a great health bill.
- My mom's friend breeds bulldogs. They breed I think three breeds. I have four favorite dogs of theirs'. One of them is their bulldog named Brooke. She is so sweet and calm. And very nice! She is so shy and adorable, too. She hides when I come over but then she realizes it's just me and comes out, it's so cute! I'm not sure how much the price is, but whatever they cost, it's worth it.
- They should be about $1000-$2500. Yes the y are expensive, but that is becasue there is a lot of work that goes into this type of dog. THey are very nice and friendly but can run into a LOT of health problems.
- They are great little dogs, and the price depends where you buy your dog,. beware do not buy from a pet-store, they are only puppy mills and their dogs are not healthy..... make sure it is not a back yard breeder either, it depends on the bloodlines and the breeder for the cost. research the breed and make sure this dog fits your lifestyle, they are robust little dogs..... get references from the breeder and talk to people that have purchased their dogs before buying the puppy, if they do not want to do that, then the breeder is not worth buying from.
- It depends on the type of bulldog you are seeking. Prices vary with the breed, your location and the quality. There are many kinds of bulldogs. English, Olde English, French, Alapaha, American, etc..... I own and raise Alapaha bulldogs. I love them. Mine all get along with other dogs are great with kids and are great protection yet are gentle, loyal companions. Best I can suggest is just research ads for the kind you want, talk to breeders, read magazines etc. Know as much as you can before buying one. I don't suggest a pet store because you don't know where the pups came from and could be puppy mill pups and of poor quality. English Bulldogs in particular have alot of health issues. If that is the kind you are seeking make sure you really read up on them and know what you are getting in to. They are awsome dogs but require alot of up keep and veterinary care. I hope I have helped some. Feel free to drop me a note if I can help more! Good luck and best wishes!
- Bulldogs are typically expensive to buy from a breeder, even in rescues they can be more expensive than some others. I'd estimate a starting price at around $1500 up to $3000 for a good dog. You get what you pay for in the breed. A cheap dog is going to be poorly bred and you'll end up paying a ton later when the dog develops serious health issues. But you can find very healthy dogs in shelters as well. They are usually good with other dogs if socialized properly just like any other dog. They're usually wonderful with almost everyone young and old.
- Im not sure where your from but in the Uk for a KC Reg British bulldog your looking from £1500 upwards. Boys tend to be cheaper. I have an 11month ols girl and paid £2000 but she worth every penny. If you dont mind having a cross breed bulldog or a non kc reg bulldog they can be cheaper but look at the parents beforehand as bulldogs are prone to health problems and therefore by cross-breeding other illness and complications can occur. As I said bulldogs are prone to health problems. Cherry eye, heart and breathing problems and hip problems are common so think about if you can afford the vet bills before taking on a pup - if you decide you can get insurance. it may be a bit of an expense every month but its definately worth it (my bulldog cost me £2000 in the first 3 months of having her! so take my word for it!) Also bear in mind any puppy will not be calm around an older dog- it will get excited and want to play so this may not be a good situation to put a puppy in for both dogs sakes! as for what bulldogs are like - I think they are brilliant. they have personalities like no other breeds which has advantages and disadvantages. They will show you so much effection and love but can also be stubborn and sulk if they dont get their own way but for me thats why I like bulldogs so much!
