where can i find a baby bulldog for x-mas?~!?

i'm trying to find a puppy bulldog for my boyfriend for x-mas. i know there's a lotta ppl who will willingly give um out free(for adoption)...but i have a prob. finding one in my local area which is around burbank, northridge, glendale, pasadena ...ok u get the pic.!..lol. i am willing to spend $250 for one though. oh and no french bulldogs...i'm thinking more on the line of the english bulldog. anyways if anyone can help me plz do~! thanx so much :) ~! in the state of CA for those who just commented me: yes my bf wants a bulldog and he wants one desperately. i think it is a good idea for him to pick one out himself, however; my bf is the type of person who really isn't picky. Especially if u get one at a young age u can slowly build that bond with ur dog. i know...i have 3 and two of them i didn't even pick out myself. another thing: i know bulldogs can cost up to $3000. but if u DO THE RESEARCH u can see ppl are willingly to give them out freely or for a low cost, such as 100-600 dollars. Believe me i know i have 3 dogs and none of them cost $1000. It's not like i want a dog for show. A lotta ppl just wanna find their dogs good homes. And even at animal shelters they are cheap, like 80 bucks and i know this cuz i worked at one in my local area.

1. Have you talked to your boyfriend, and does he WANT a bulldog? My suggestion would be to get the collar, leash, bowls, etc and give him THEM for Christmas, then take some time to do your research thoroughly and go out with him and let HIM pick out the dog that HE wants.
2. up I agree with tiyra and then go to your local spca or rescue and adopt a purebreed one or www.petfinder.com
3. UMMMMM $250 are you serious? Try $1200 or more to start! and in your area MINIMUM $2000 + so the only way is to get a picture and hang it up and have a daydream of having one! And our rescues IE.. ADL (animal defense league) here have rescue people already lined up when it comes to high $$ breeds, so even rescues charge $$ to adopt and when it comesa to the high $$ breeds they get expensive. Even though its a rescue.
4. If you can find an english bulldog for 100-600 it's a scam unless it is from a shelter. Even then, rescues charge 300-1000 for adoption. You will never find an english bulldog from a good breeder for $250. And if you find one for $3000 like you said, run. No dog should cost that much. You are better off to save a little more money and go find a good breeder. That way you can see all the puppies and the parents. Good Luck!
