My bulldog is expecting pups, what can I do to help my ultra sensitive boston terrier cope?

My boston gets jelouse when she doesnt get all my attention. I have to acknowledge her first before my bulldog. She is not mean or aggresive to the bulldog ever. I just dont know what to expect because I am going to have to pay attention to the puppies.

  1. keep them apart for sure. Mom will be in protect mode. let him know you still love him.
  2. You as the owner have the right to choose when & where to give your affection and to whom. Do not allow your Boston to be pushy. Think of it this way.....if you have 2 kids, and one is ill and the other is somewhat spoiled and used to having all the attention....you would not think twice about having the other child quietly mind while you tended to the ill one. Likewise, while your Bulldog is not ill, she needs your attention at this time. Do not isolate your Boston, but set limits. If you are not capable of doing this then as the person who answered first suggested....keep them apart if tensions arise.
