where can i find a baby bulldog for x-mas?~!? i'm trying to find a puppy bulldog for my boyfriend for x-mas. i know there's a lotta ppl who will willingly give um out free(for adoption)...but i have a prob. finding one in my local area which is around burbank, northridge, glendale, pasadena ...ok u get the pic.!..lol. i am willing to spend $250 for one though. oh and no french bulldogs...i'm thinking more on the line of the english bulldog. anyways if anyone can help me plz do~! thanx so much :) ~! in the state of CA for those who just commented me: yes my bf wants a bulldog and he wants one desperately. i think it is a good idea for him to pick one out himself, however; my bf is the type of person who really isn't picky. About a baby bulldog??? When do baby bulldogs start to actually walk....Theres this lady I know and shes not to bright and shes trying to breed bulldogs well make a long story short her bulldog had 5 puppies all of them died in her care at like 2-3-and 4 weeks its just odd to me and now her fifth puppy is still alive but it just seems weird to me that the puppy doesn't walk yet...The pup is around 8-9 weeks is there something wrong with the pup or is this normal for bulldogs....I am only wondered b/c I got a puppy like 2 months ago and she was 6 weeks a lil Doberman and she was running around is it odd for that bulldog not to be walking?

Why do people get boxers mixed up with pit bulls or bulldogs? I raise boxer dogs, and for some reason people are intimidated by them, like they are a pit, when really they are big lovable babies. Or they sometimes even get compared to a bulldog... and they don't look anywhere close to one.

keeping our dogs in the house once the baby is born? my husband and i are expecting our first child. The vet gave my baby bulldog a shot yesterday and sent her home with a liquid antibiotic to take ever 12 hours using an eye dropper... when we tried to give it to her this morning she was NOT having it! Baby bulldog with kennel cough?? we just bought our dog yesterday....he was totally playful and energetic yesterday.....this morning when we woke up we noticed that his little stomach was heaving and that he was sounding as if he wanted to throw up but wouldnt....when he does it is a milky white color. he only wants to sleep and has no energy, no appetite and isnt really drinking much. we went to the vet and he said it was kennel cough and gave us antibiotics, but i was just wondering if anyone knew if these were common symptoms for kennel cough?? no appetite, energy etc? if anyone knows please let me know as i am worried about my little guy. well guys thanks for all your help...we ended up taking him to a animal hospital.....his kennel cough turned into a pretty bad case of pneumonia...he has to stay there for a few days til hes all better.....im sad but he is getting the best treatment possible

Any know about transporting and animal by plane from different country? Recently responded to an add giving a baby bulldog away from Africa. I live in U.S. The guy said all I'd have to pay for is the cost to ship it. He wants me to Western Union him $100 dollars and get back to him with the 10 digit MTCN code and senders name to pick up the money. He then go to the airport and book a flight. I was concerned with customs when the dog reached the U.S. So I asked him about that and he said i got nothing to worry about. He said he had already taken care of the tariff to Kansas City. He gave me a NOTAM number Issue date Location and Reason for NOTAM. He said as soon as i pay, she will be on her flight soon. I'm not sure if this is a scam or if it isn't. My Pure Bred American Bulldog ate a baby desert rat last night!? We were outside (around 9) and my bf noticed a baby desert rat near our BBQ. Best way to fatten a dog up? Hey everyone! My dog is a runt from my friend's first litter(sp?). He is really skinny. I have been trying to find ways to fatten my olde english bulldog baby. I have been feeding him human baby cereal(if you don't know what it is, it is flakey stuff you mix with water with a lot of nutrients in it). I feed him through a small turkey baster because he has a small hole on the roof of his mouth that will close up in a few weeks. The vet suggested the cereal, but is there better ways?

Introducing pet to baby-dog already trying to bite? We have a english bulldog we have raised since he was a little baby. He is very close to my husband who treats him like a real baby. I dont know what to call my month old English Bulldogs!? MY godmother's boyfriend brought home two addorable month old English bulldogs. One is a female and the other one is a male... We still dont know what to call them! The female is very always wining and the male is bitting and looking for "play-time". Still we wanted to give them very powerfull names, like protective angels, good faries or powerfull gods. My godmother just had a baby also and they (the baby and the dogs) were born the same day on October! That was amazing! hehe... but anyways since we have the baby around we want good names for the dog so they will protect us but most important thr baby so we dont want "mean" names... So... English or French Bulldog Puppy or Baby Wanted for adoption near NY City?

English Bulldogs... anyone have one? I find that my bulldog has a pretty bad smell - even after she is bathed. Does anyone have a secret to eliminating this? It isn't so bad right after a bath, but within a couple of days it is as if she needs another bath! She eats Eukanuba food if that matters. We use a high quality shampoo and thoroughly bathe her at least every other week if not more (I got some cleaning tips from a website - like using a Q-tip around her tail and earwash, etc and do that stuff). We also use baby wipes every day to keep her face, tummy and bottom clean. What gives? Is it the breed? Would a professional groomer be the better way to go? Thanks for any insight! oh, and she is an inside dog... Oh, and the vet checked her anal glands and they were good. The vet also didn't seem to be concerned with her stink either. But it bothers ME :) Ha ha on the gas thing, by the way. She sure has that - but that isn't the source of this smell :)

Does anyone remember those white t-shirts with the black & white picture on the back of the two little girls sitting on an outside step with a little boy in between them? The little girls have on shirts with opposing team mascots (Georgia Bulldogs vs. Florida Gators or Tennessee Volunteers), and the little boy is kissing one of the little girls on the cheek. i have a 2 year old english bulldog and about to have a baby.? and in 4 months we're having a baby. My husband will be in iraq and i'm afraid i wont be able to handle the dog and the baby. We thought that english bulldogs were suppose to be realxed and calm but its quite the opposite. He's a very hyper dog, specially when someone comes over or if you just get home. He's running and jumping all over everything! he also freaks out with certain noises, like babies crying and the vacume cleaner. i cant vacume without him attacking the vacume. when i hold a baby he will jump at us, i dont think he's trying to bite them but he just keeps jumping. He's a 70 pound dog so i dont know what to do? NOW please listen, I dont want to get rid of my dog, thats not why im asking. we took him to obdience class but i didnt work. there were 20 other dogs there and its a big mess. i repeat I DO NOT want to get rid of my dog just cause im having a baby. i just want to know if anyone else has a problem like this and how do i fix it?

My English bulldog Daisy has a red bumb on her eye does anyone know what it is? Last weekend, at the cottage, I notice a red mark on Daisy's (my english bulldog) eye. Now, it's in the back corner (not the corner towards her nose) of her right eye, smaller then a dime, a redish pinkish colour, and to me, it looks like it's a scratch that has swollen up. Now of course as soon as I saw it, I went to the vet. She did an ink test (to test if it was a scratch) and the whole red spot illuminate, meaning it's a scratch, right? But the problem is that the vet seemed unsure, which make me uneasy. I wanted to make sure that it would go away and it wouldn't make my baby go blind. The vet said she'd never sceen this before. She gave me a gel called: Tobrex. My bulldog is like a baby to me, so I'm a little worried. Has anyone ever had something like this? A red bumb on the eye? Do you think it's a scratch that just got a little irratated because some cottage sand? We for sure know it's not a cherry eye. Does anyone know what it is? Does it sound like something you know?

bringing baby home to meet Dogs...? hey ya'll... i'm 39 weeks pregnant and i am very worried about bringing the baby home to meet our dogs.. this is our first and our dogs have never been around children... We met them on two occassions. Should we contact the owner and demand out money back? Of course we love the baby, but would have definately preferred the chunky ball bulldog we thought we were purchasing.

Dog & Baby are having issues? We have an 8 month old baby & a 3 year old bulldog. For the most part they get along fine. Occasionally our dog gets "snappy" when you tell her to do something (or not do something). She's never bitten us just snarl and snaps. Today, she snapped at the baby while he was sitting next to her on the couch. Later, she snapped at him while they were on the floor and got his hand (she didn't break the skin, but left marks). The baby wasn't doing anything to provoke this. On the couch he was petting her nicely & on the floor he was reaching for one of his toys. Has anyone else dealt with this? We love our dog very much & are trying to determine if this is something we can overcome or do we need to find her a home without little pepole before something else happens? Is there anything we can do to resolve this issue? We really don't want to have to give her up but our son is the priority. (And, no they aren't left alone together.)
