American Bulldog? I've been researching the American Bulldog breed and it seems like the breed has been getting pretty good reviews. Can anyone suggest anything about the breed, training, and temperment? I am also planning on taking training classes... whatever u can suggest!

My American Bulldog looks different from all the others? My american Bulldog is 15months old and weight in at 80lbs. she is a very lazy dog. she big, and she eats plenty of food(30lbs a week) but her longer hair and ears just don't look like the others. I have seen both of her parents and they look like all the others. but not my Mariah. she all white with a brindle spot on the left side of her face. and the back of her ears are brindle as well.

How do I get my American Bulldog Puppy to stop chasing my cat? I have an 8 week old female american bulldog puppy who loves my cat. She thinks its another puppy to play with. I do not want my puppy to think its ok to chase the cat. I have tried having her on a leash when the cat is walking around and she will do great but the second that leash is off, she runs for the cat and won't listen. Any advice would be great!

Any ideas how to help an American Bulldog with severe allergies and very itchy skin? Our American Bulldog is allergic to almost every type of grass and pollen. We are having her treated by a dermatologist but now summer is on the way, her scratching has started again. She scratches so much she makes herself bleed. She drags her belly and chest along the grass or carpets and makes herself very sore. We have tried a number of things but nothing seems to work. Has anyone experience of this and any tried and tested remedies. Please try and help us.....

What is the difference between a American bulldog and a Pitbull? What happend is people are always thinking that my American Bulldog is a Pitbull, I wonder why?

Any suggestions of what is wrong with my American Bulldog? Yesterday, my American Bulldog woke up with bumps all over his body (I have never seen anything like it). He has not been exposed to any different allergens nor have we changed his food. He is a little over a year old. Any suggestion of what this could be? He's disposition does not seem to be affected by the bumps. The bumps are not colored and are soft to touch. Some are as big as a quarter. We have an English Bulldog , too, and she has not been affected with this strange aliment.

What should I name my American bulldog puppy? So me and my family have dicided to rescue/adopt a american bulldog, but we can't think of a name. We can't even agree if it should be a girl or a boy. How do you put quality weight on a very thin American Bulldog? I just got a female AKC American Bulldog. She is so awesome but for her two years of life she has been either kenneled inside or on a six foot leash. Her previous owner said she was too "hyper." Why do people fear my American Bulldog so much? I grew up with Sheppards, Dobermans, Newfoundlands and a Border Collie. I could walk them down the street with no problems. I walk my American Bulldog down the street and people will cross the road or even change coarse sometimes. He is the biggest suck in the world and loves human or dog attention. Is it better to keep an American Bulldog as an outside dog or can he be kept as an inside pet also? I've heard from breeders and other American Bulldog lovers that this breed should be kept outside in a doghouse and such but I never had a strictly outside dog and was wondering if he could be trained to be an inside dog. Any comments?? I think it's a little mean to always keep a dog strictly outside especially where I live in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
